Abstract

The increasing digitalization of the economy and the transformation of business models have created a dynamic, uncertain, and technology-driven environment where success hinges on the acquisition of essential skills and competencies. Companies are increasingly aware of the importance of investing in human talent and equipping employees with soft skills that enable them to thrive in such uncertain conditions. Among these, resilience stands out as a key competency, reinforcing an organization's competitive edge while ensuring adaptability, sustainability, and growth in a technology-dominated world.

This study aims to examine the role of simulation-based activities in fostering resilience as a critical competency for digital businesses. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale to assess whether participation in simulation exercises—designed to replicate professional settings characterized by high levels of competitiveness, demand, and stress—enhances participants' resilience. The findings indicate that engagement in these exercises significantly improves resilience levels, offering valuable insights into the cultivation of this essential skill in managerial contexts. The study's primary managerial implication is that implementing simulation exercises can positively influence employees' resilience, contributing to their capacity to navigate challenging professional environments effectively.
